GILGAMESH

 Gilgamesh, the king of Uruk, two thirds god, one third human, restlessly seeks challenges and battles monsters in pursuit of fame and power and the godly immortality he believes he deserves. When his intimate partner from the wilderness, Enkidu, dies as a result of the gods’ anger over their deeds, Gilgamesh is shattered by his vulnerability to the grief and death to which his humanity consigns him and embarks on a journey in search of eternal life.
